    cavalino on head rests

Would quite like to do something similiar to this style:

Has anyone done this , and how ?

I imagine using say the horse from the front or rear ( the chrome plastic one ) placing inside the head rest - but not sure how to get the leather to follow follow all the small contours accuratly..... heating ? / inverse mould on the outside ?

I've wanted to do the same thing. I tried it using some of Mr. Mike's black faux leather, heat, upholstery glue, and a metal OEM cavalino but it didn't work.
I'm thinking it would have to be real leather, heated up, and stamped.
Or, soaking the leather and using some kind of hardener on the area where you press the cavalino in from behind. The material would need to be very thin if you use vinyl though. The thicker stuff that seats are made of won't show the details I've discovered.

I went to a textile show a long time ago and they were using a very strong press to imprint designs. I'm assuming that is how they do it. Leather will mold under pressure. just like when they make shoes and etc. I kind of wonder if you had a pos and neg cast metal mold you could use a shop press to imprint the horse. I duno ......

Good find! Maybe someone should contact this guy. Maybe he would do one for the F and L logo's.

I have a Pontiac airbag that I took to a leather shop yesterday. They gave me a price of $150 to emboss the bull and install the cover, which didn't sound bad to me if the quality is good. I've seen pictures of Murci steering wheel covers, but I never could make out whether the detail was any good on them. Has anyone bought one of these yet? I have a Pontiac column and wheel because they were part of my ls4 swap, but the steering wheel is fairly close to the looks of the lambo, and if I recover the airbag it should look good.
