    355 tonneau and Targa

    Well;

    I have been watching the various threads about tops going around for a while now and I had said I was in the process of getting a tonneau and targa. I now have it and can share some pics.

    This rear and targa are custom built with power risers for the rear and internal latching mechanisms for the targa. I have not torn them apart and had a detailed look at everyting eyet but as I do, I can post progress and pics of what it looks like and how it is built.

    I was able to obtian the prototype for the finished product so the colour of the fabric leaves some to be desired and the fit and finish still needs more attention.

    I started out with a 355 coupe and decided I wanted a convertible. I have pretty much cut every fiberglass part on it to line everything up so taking the roof off as well wasn't as much of a stretch as it once might have been. Some of the attached pics show the amount of work that has been going on to get things looking better than they started.

    I still have more work to do putting the convertible rear fiberglass sections in place and getting everything else to fit but I can at least start finalizing some details.

    Don:

    I am in the middle of this same dilemma. Would happen to have a few shots of the top without the canvas on it. That way we could get some idea of how it folds down etc.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    I'll take the canvas off this weekend and take some pics. I'll also get some targa portion pics.

    Cheers

    Don:

    Can you post a photo of the top in the down position so we can see where it folds up into the rear 1/4 panel recess?

    From the side and back if you can.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Re:355 tonneau and Targa

    Dave;

    I am going out today to buy a digital camera and then I will tear the top and targa apart for everyone to see. Expect to see some pics posted tonight or tomorrow night.

    I think I will start a new topic though as my pictures from above make this topic section haard to read scrolling etc.

    Don:

    The scrolling is because your photos are not set to SQ on your camera.
