    Airbags

Hey guys, im new to building these cars, i have been researching for many years, but ive never actually finished one ( i have started one before though). Anyways, i am young and much to my dislike, safety is a must. by this i mean airbags. does anyone know anything about airbags in kit cars? is there anyway to retrofit airbags to a fiero or anything like that? and will the airbags work after the car is stretched? i know these are probably stupid questions, but im a newbie so cut me some slack
    Thanks!
    Sean

if you want air bags you will most likely have to use a boxter or mr2 as a donor.

the sensors are in the bumpers so they should function as normal. that is as long as you dont remove them.

There was a guy on pennocks a few years back who bagged his fiero. I have the front bagged with a held slalom. I have coilovers and only use the airbags to raise the front end over obsticles.

The OP is about airbags in the dash, or steering wheel for safety in front end collisions, not airbags on the suspension.

Was that a senior moment? I completely read that wrong. Personally I'm a little nervous about messing with airbags on my car. I can envision an accidental deployment causing an accident.
