I'd gut it in from behind with a rotozip tool. Start in the center and go small. Gradually work your way outward to get the look you want, then duplicate it on the other side.

As a side note, from your post I am guessing that you have one pice doors and rockers so that vent in question goes with the door when you open it. If that is so, I'd actually just consider using a Flat Black Paint and paint the space in the back where the hole would go. That way it isn't so odd when you open the door. One kits with the rockers separate, I'd run a vent hose to the brakes or the engine for cooling, which would close off that hole and make it look black anyway.

    Good luck!

Nice 1/4 panel. Who makes it? I would like to contact them to see if they would splash some door jams for me.

Ok, That is the same thing that I have today. I am having trouble fitting the door jam return to the Fiero body, thought it might be different than mine. Really nice stuff isn't it.

I'm going to have to cut out most if not all of the Fiero door jam, then weld in support for the door striker. Then looking at the Fiero door itself, I will have to cut off the flange where the door mounts and then recreate some kind of fiberglass support that will tie in my door skin to my fiero door. Looking at the quarter door jam you can see that there is a lip that the door skin overhangs and the door jam fits into the door, maybe an inch give or take. With the doors as they are now, it wouldn't close. OEM looking door jams are quite a trick.
I've seen the pics of what you have created, and they look great.
