    Sand scratches on replica f430 tail lights

    Ok i know its going to sound like im a dope haha but my brother was sanding the rear of the car and left a few scratch marks i have just noticed on the lights would wet sanding and buffing fix them or there gonskis or any other method i can try or how much to replace them?

    wet sand and buff. but wait until the car is done, it will happen alot

    Yea, What he said. End using 2000 or 3000 wet dry paper and machine buff. They will look like new again.

    all the above totaly correct mate but next time mask out with 2inch tape any areas that you dont want to get marked,takes 2 mins and then just take tape off,you wont get any marks then buddy..

    Worst case scenario, prep then and apply a clear coat. They will look better than new and the paint will protect them from potential discoloration due to UV damage!

    hi replica_happy

    if the polishing doesnt work then you could tint them like on my build,

    2 coats of smoke tint followed by 1 light coat of clear 2-pack scratch resistant laquer,you can use normal laquer aswell buddy

    just an option

    hmm dnt think it would suit red haha if i was going white or black i would for sure.

    after the wet sand, you can also use "brasso" it is a "brass polish" actually and used to polish any fine hair scratches,
    this goes for most plastic/acrylic etc.

    okay and it does a great job on Brass oddly enough...and some types of aluminum...
    but lets stick to the point for now

    * you can use it instead of the wet sand in "minor" cases.
