Front splitters and UK IVA/SVA law

    Hi Guys
This is a question more for my UK comrades..
I am going to re-do the front splitter on the zonda, but I suddenly had a thought whether there are regulations around it?

obviously you cant have a razor shop front edge, nor can it stick out to far, I believe things have to be a minimum radius.

Has anyone any experience of this or how to get round it? I would hate to make it only to find out it would not pass any tests.

    Thanks in advance

    Nick
    Regards

I dont know the in's and outs of IVA/SVA but to cover all options and ensure you dont fail on this, why not make the splitter as a separate piece that you can bolt on and simply remove for the test then you can be 100% sure it wont fail on this part ?

Having a quick look on google images, it looks like it would be a separate piece anyway ?

    Possible ?

Hi Nick, not its not, its part of the skid/floor pan. I guess if the worse come to the worse I could just bond a rubber strip to it. I was looking at the caronmods website and their universal splitters protrude up to 3" at the front of the car and are only 6mm thick, So I guess I am worrying about nothing..
