I need a lower ball joint for a Held slalom front end

If anyone knows what ball joint I need I sure would like to know. Or if you can put me in touch with any of the previous Held suppliers that might help too. My slalom suspension came with 13" rotors with the name Ryane stamped on them. Ryane was the name of the company after it was Formula One and before it became Held, then HT Motorsports.

Never mind, I got the napa parts number from Erik. It'll be here tomorrow morning.

Back on the road again, but now I'm a little nervous. I've pushed this car through some corners pretty hard and though I've only taken it up to 93mph, I'm pretty sure it would have been a disaster in either of those situations.

The nut and shaft snapped right off of the top of the ball joint. The shaft still had the nut on it but no cotter pin. The only thing that I can come up with is that without the cotter pin, maybe it loosened up enough that it got slammed around in the spindle before it broke. It was a fresh break. No partial rust at the break.

That has happened to me before luckily the suspension caught in the fender and stopped me from flipping.
I would assume the ball joint isnt that old ???

WHAT? The ball joint tapered stud broke?
I've never heard of this. Was the tapered section still in the knuckle and was it tight?
Did you need a balljoint fork to get it apart?

Even if the nut worked loose after it was properly installed you should be able to drive the car virtually forever because of the tapered nature of the stud and the way it presses into the knuckle.

I salvaged the suspension from an old build that had never hit the road, so it was old but with no miles on it till I installed it about 1000 miles ago

The stud broke just below the threads above the tapered section. I sure would like to hear Any ideas on what caused this. I was backing up when the left front wheel went up and the car fell down on it. I didn't install the ball joint, could it have been over torqued? That doesn't sound likely to me, but I'm considering all possibilities. No ball joint fork was necessary because the tapered section was still attached to the screwed in ball joint

Could you share the ball joint part #s. Do you have the upper ball joint #s. Are the ball joints the screw in type like the Dodge/mopar? Thanks, Dennis
