Posting twice as a newbie...think I have found ultimate solution to my Gallardo

After many days and hours I think I have solved my problem... No way do I want the maint costs of a real gallardo I want a daily driver
After exhausting my self looking for a builder that I like this is what I think I will do.
I can purchase a high millage Gallardo (I have found some) or one with light damage. I found one with 180000 miles on if for 44k.
I am thinking about buying one of these and sending it to G-force engineering to use as the basis for my kit. I told them I want a Porsche transaxel with a Corvette or other easy maint motor. srtip it down use it on another chassis, use the seats the dash as much as possible...
I may even see if they can tear the top half off the motor cut the heads thin weld the intake manifold to them and make an enging cover out of it.....doing some serious research. It would be great to have a Gallardo I could actually drive

why dont you just replace the engine plus tranny with the audi v8 and a vw 6 speed box, both will fit easy.
sell gear box and tranny witch will cover costs.

Thanks will look into that and I am looking into an engine swap...I was thinking the other way no Lambo brakes, shocks, or some $6000 bushing that goes bad that has to be flown in from Europe first class with its own oersonal escort....

just found a 07 spider with 149000 miles on it for $44,000 but like I said the top could stop working and $5000 later to get it fixed...a coupe would be smarter and look better

Thought of doing this earlier this year. Never could find a gallardo with more than 35,000 miles nor one less than $75,000. Never knew that people drove them over 100,000 miles. Post a picture or two and tell us how your project comes along in the future.
