Question Audi b a6 biturbo 2.7 engine swapping to toyota mr2

    Hi everybody,

i have some questions, i hoop you guys have the answers.
Why i want to use this engine ?
    because,
    • its small engine with a lot of power and speed.
    • the sound will be more like a lamborghini with a x-pipe exhaust system.
    questions
    1. Is it possible ?
    2. parts what do i need ? (only has the engine)
    3. is it possible to use this engine as a mid rear engine
    thank you

I thought that the Audi engines needed all the computers from the car to run properly and there was no aftermarket PCM.

I have not seen too many transverse audi transmissions. Only ones I can think of are TT and newer Passat.

    VW and Audi

    Hi,

Vw and Audi share engines in several Models,

so if you want transverse think VW (Golf,New Beetle).

The tranny from the VR6 should do nicely, but I'm not sure about bolt paterns on the 2.7 Audi compared to VR6?

I hear one of the best new transmissions audi has is the 2010 A4 6spd, its very small, I think 550mm in length. Paul Woods on the MR2oc has TONS of information and pictures. There is a wealth of knowledge there.

use a diesel 6 speed a4 box and keep the engine in the same way as orginally fitted .
