    Advice on 355 build

Hi, i'm out here in Arizona and was hoping to get as much advice on building a 355 kit. It seems the AD 355 kit is truly a quality setup. Any other i should look at? Anyone to stay away from? Anyone out here in my neck of the woods?

Also I was hoping someone could spare a copy of a build video. I'm just trying to get an idea on the full scope of this project. I'm not without some skill, but I realize I lack sometoo. I just want to try to learn what i nee earlier than later. Any and all adivce would be great.
    Thanks
    Mike

AD is a GREAT kit. Simply amazing and incredible quality. Best of all, John is one of the GOOD guys in this industry.

Mirage is another real good choice in the 355 Market. All separate panels and acurate proportions. This is the kit I chose for my project even with the AD out there.

They are pretty close but I personally prefer the back end of the Mirage over the AD because of the acurate rear window and C Pillar design. Call me silly but I love that F355 rear window shape

Even the IFG clones that require a stretch are a great option. Even with the one piece panels, the finished product is total eye candy!

It boils down to personal preference and your budget...

AD kits and Mirage kits both sell for around $7000 - $9000 while IFG kits sell around $4500 - $5500. Add the donor and mechanical/cosmetic options, paint and wheels/tires and figure your budget from there

Just as a matter of coincidence... I know where there are some brand new Mirage F355s for $5500 Mirage quality for IFG prices!

Here are some pictures to compare. The red car is my old 355 Mirage, the yellow car is John Watson's old 355 short wheelbase kit. I like the AD attention to the details like the bumpers, rockers etc. The new version is going on my car as a Spyder so I don't have to contend with any top issues and besides I like Topless!

I guess I am a Rag Top Man at heart.

    Thanks Glenn:

I am sure you will have an equally good looking build maybe better. Any nibbles on selling your old kit? Hope to have this painted by the end of May.

    Glenn:

Maybe it can be posted on this site in the Mall section. That might get a few lookers for you. Photos always help.

I remember those photos. Maybe you can update if you put an update on it once a week it will keep it to the top of the list.
