POLL- most economical conversion for an 85 fiero.

Okay so I found the car. As long as I can actually buy it before someone else does.

Now what are some suggestions for the kit? This entire process is apparently much more expensive than I first thought so I am trying to tone my project goals down a bit.
Are there any body kits available that require no stretching?
I would guess that would cut down on cost and work a great deal.

There are a few to chose from, 355, 308,328.
The best in my opinion would be a 355.

I baught The Fiero SS, a Testarassa based kit, from Fiero Factory and is easy enough for the beginer (some welding require).http://www.fierofactory.com/
costs about $6,500 for the body including the customs fees and shipping. This is a non strech kit and I shouldnt have to widen the rear much...Probubly small wheel spacers.I got the front nose on 2 weeks ago and am working on the rear,I will post pics as soon as I get a digital camera.

I would go with a Fino.
The cost factor of getting it to look like a real Fino is not like of getting the Ferrari clones to look like real ones.
Since the Fino is an original car no one can make the comparisons.

I guess what we first need to know are a few qualifying questions.

What is your budget and cash flow for the project?

Body, Wheels, Paint, Tires, Interior, Time Frame, etc.

And what look do you like?

You may be better off with just a mild customization of your Fiero. There isn't anything wrong with that route either.
