Software for making stations from a 3d model

I'm trying to search for a programm to slice through a 3d model at intervals to make stations that could be used to create a buck. I use a free 3d modeling program called blender, but I'm not sure if it can be done on Blender. What program (preferably free lol) will do this?

    Cheers
    Justin

rhino 3d will slice it, its not automated you have to create your own planes that dissect through the model and then use the cut object feature.

I am sure that Rhino 3D, Solid Works, Inventor, and Sketchup would all do this, but 123D is a one button job.
