    Bmw 850i mid engine

    Hey guys what to you think about this car??

    Pros
    V12
    coupe
    almost perfect wheelbase

    Cons

    engine on the front
    old
    exp parts

    How hard and how long would it take to make it mid engine?

    people have done that, take a look atparallel designs, jets303 build and i think mr drinners cars as well.

    What Would be harder to move engine from front to back or build spaceframe chassis

    These are fiero based cars or custom built chassis with the BMW engine

    Nobody has used the BMW chassis and moved the engine to the rear

    I went on Parallel design ive seen spaceframes only and i didnt find drinners cars

    The perfect donor is a custom frame. Custom wiring harness and custom engine configurations are number 1.

    I agree with you 100% but its always alot of work building using a donor on the other hand is easier and faster im looking for a donor that will be cheap and you can use most of the parts

    as far as a donor goes start with a mid engined car, to convert a car will require a lot of work
    Tube chassis is going to be your best option. I think the 850 chassis will be hard to find especially if you need a few of them not to mention costly

    Yes your are right Im back to boxster you can pick one for 10k (in canada) sell body parts and if you want to have more power you can always install LS1
