    MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

    Well here goes everything......

I finally sat down to put a website together regarding my ongoing 360Replica project. Since I intend to design my own, It will more than likely be an ongoing and long process.

I know motivation and desire to keep working away on it will be a big issue. We all seem to get a litte distracted from our projects from time to time.

It will be awhile before any major break through as I just bought a new Condo in Calgary, Alberta and will be moving there the end of this month.

I can't make any deffinate promises but oh well... here goes everything.

Let me know if you like the look. E-mail me or post me some ideas.

So glad you are coming to join us in Calgary. It is a balmy -1 C today and we just got over a foot of snow. I hope you have a heated garage in your condo!

Good luck with the move, I look forward to seeing the web site as it grows. Please come visit after you get settled!

    Re: MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

I just posted a new pic on my site of an example full scale mock up. Lately I have been thinking alot about what way to go.... do a coupe version or do the spyder?

I am beginning to lean towards the coupe to simplfy the build process later on...any thoughts?

I'd stick with a coupe - by keeping the fiero's space frame intact you can still benefit from the saftey of it. Also less hassle re-enforcing and what not.

I am still wondering about doing the coupe and still haveing a stretch done for the correct wheel base. I think useing the stock wheelbase would only make it look funny

    WhRe: MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

    Ferrari 360 Wheelbase: 259.8cm
    Fiero Wheelbase: 237 cm

That's going to be quite a strech...

    Re: MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

well considering that the 355 is a 3" stretch and the Diablo is a 7" stretch what's 2 more inches? I know that the chassis will need to be reinforced pretty good. I think that by leaving the roof intact for a coupe model rather than cutting it off for a spyder, the should be no major problems. Just imagine the size of engine you could slam in there!

Any body know the dimensions of the 2nd generation MR2?
    Wheelbase? Width? Etc...?

    Re: MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

i keep reworking my concept drawings a photoshop ideas and i did thr 360 coupe on a stock fiero wheelbase...

Hate to say it... it look so rediculously unbalanced! Almost as bad as the countach on a stock fiero ... not quite but almost.

I am not sure about a full 9 inch strech... maybe a 7 inch stretch wont appear so unbalanced... i think maybe the 2" wont be so noticeable.

    Re: MY F-360RS PROJECT WEBSITE

If your gonna do it, do it right... dont cut corners...

If it needs a 9" stretch, do it, more space for a nicer motor and a longitudinal configuration... IE: Helms Brothers Longitudinal engine cradle.

IT'll be one hell o0f a engine bay to work with.

BTW: Has anyone ever installed a longitudinal motor in a non stretched fiero and by cutting out the trunk???

I want to add a longitudinal set up on my soon to be non stretch F355 when I order the body and get a better job...but can It be done???

    $2000 for cradle
    $900 suspension
    $1900 Ls2 EFI motor
    $2000 transaxle
    $900 computer(programmable)

Its gonna be a very very very costly operation tho...
