    OEM Naming Rights

    Hello All,
I have a question and I hope someone can answer this.

I'm working on a project that's being built on a Ferrari F430 chassis. My question is "how much of the chassis must remain, in order to retain the right to call it a Ferrari?"

    Thanks
    Harold

Harold, if you are talking about your personal right to call it a Ferrari, the answer is simple. You can call it anything you want, no matter how much is there (or none at all) as long as you do not sell it and profit from calling it a Ferrari. If you are talking about the title, that is more complicated.

Thank you 76. Yes, I'm talking about the name on the title and selling 7 of these hopefully for a profit.

The title is still going to say Ferrari no matter what you do to the car. Take that for what you paid for it but here is a better free opinion, spend a few bucks for a lawyer on your multi million dollar project. I can give you the names of some who specialize in this area.

Thank you, I would appreciate that. Multi-Million dollar project lol... not even. All chassis wrecked or burned. No motor, no trans, no suspensions, no interior, no body panels, no nothing basically.

And they still have clear titles?

    Not unrepairable/parts only titles ?
