Road Race Car Kit Simple as a Bucket T Kit

I am FIGURING OUT how to do this.

Added that to keep me out of the clutches of the nitpickers and soreheads.

So that new to kit car builders have finishable project.Or at least they can sell it and get SOME OF there

    money back.

    Carefully picking my words here.

    Independent Front Suspension.Solid rear axle(regular Chevy 10 or 12 bolt type,like that)

Simple fiberglass body. That is a toughy.Open engine compartment(one less fiberglass part to make).

Same function as a 27 T body but updated look. One piece body for kit and some kind of nose to cover radiator and front

    suspension.Another toughie.

That is the key to it.A body and nose.Add SUGGESTED frame plan and SHIP IT!

Forums or buddies can help them finish it.

Small block Chevy and auto to get this project just moving along.

There.I hope I made myself clear.

You are describing a Lotus 7 type car. You can update the body to something like the Maxton was but then you get in to more complicated body work. Just do a 7 and be done with it.

    Thanks for the response.

Looking into the sprint car universal front suspension parts.

Upper and lower a arms spindles.

Have to find out if they are plenty strong for a big block.

If it is built with a little straight 4 or 6 a Corvair front suspension would work.

Corvair suspension comes off the car after you take out six bolts.

    That's what's up.

Last night we finished the World of Outlaws Weekend right here at Devil's Bowl Speedway, and I am familiar with winged, non winged, the 410 cars, sprints, midgets, etc, etc, etc. The driver of my Nascar efforts has a WOO 410 car. I have never seen, or even heard of, a sprint car front suspension with a-arms. All of them are straight axle, and I do not think the built-in camber and castor angles would be anywhere close to acceptable for street use. On the brighter side, if that axle is quite sufficient for 1,000HP in a 1,000lb car, I think it would be strong enough for any big block.

    My mistake.I meant A arm racing suspension parts.IMCA maybe.Beefed up Pinto/Mustang II

    and universal type.

Forget the Track T body and frame.

Sprint car/Modified better.Sheet metal down the sides between the 4 frame tubes.

Upshot of it is.Sprint car with IFS universal A arm suspension on it.

Fiberglass cowl top, cockpit top and tail.

Wrap the tail piece over and down to bottom cross tube/cross member.

    Three pieces to make

Nose cone can be sectioned track T widened.

Hood optional.Tin the side of engine compartment up to top frame tube.

Open wheels put some cycle fenders on them.

    UPLOAD IMAGES STILL NOT WORKING!

DO YOU REALLY HAVE TO PAY A DONATION BEFORE IT WILL WORK?

OR IS IT JUST SCREWED UP? THERE IS NO MESSAGE SAYING DONATION REQUIRED IT JUST DOES NOT WORK!

You can't post photos using the site software anymore... you have to use a photo hosting service like PhotoBucket, Imgur, or Flickr.

Factory Five has this market covered for an unbeatable $9,900 including tube chassis, chassis panels, complete independent front suspension, your choice of 3-link, 4-link, or Mustang IRS (less diff), front brakes, steering, cooling, fuel system, engine mounts, driveshaft, pedal assembly, dash, instruments and fasteners:

    https://www.factoryfive.com/33-hot-r...u-get-stage-1/

It would be tough to beat that.

    Making progress here.

Our pick is A arm (double wishbone) front suspension with 'lean over' coil overs.

Ooly firm thing about body is open engine compartment.

Guess the other firm thing (parameter) is 4 tube frame.

May not look as cool as classic roadster w/open engine compartment but tough cookies!

I think I see where the disconnect is here.

The forum says 'Mad Mechanics' 'Custom and Kit Car forum'.

Put me solidly on the 'Custom' side.

    More like 'fabricator'.

Had a tubbed Dart at one time and then the next step was going to be an Econorail 440 dragster.

Since then the tube frame idea has stuck.

Have just been looking for something more 'interesting'.

Just puttering around with this 'Bucket T kit that handles' idea.

'You can't post photos using the site software anymore... you have to use a photo hosting service like PhotoBucket, Imgur, or Flickr.'

Getting a lot of different stories here.

My answer in a PM from Mad Mechanic user was 'read the upload pictures post'.

Does that mean 'read it where it says donate and upload will be enabled' or does it mean 'read it and he had

    turned on upload pictures'.

After that PM I was dumb enough to think he meant it was enabled and tried both ways and they didn't work.

By 'both ways' I mean 'upload pictures' in that little photo gallery thing and 'manage attachments'.

Something worked a couple years ago. There are pictures in my photo gallery.

The site software to upload photos stopped working at least 2 years ago. There is nothing you can do to make it work, not even throw money at the administrators.
