    3.1L V6 cam timing?

I am installing a 3.1L V6 in my Fiero. I don't know what year the new motor is but I am guessing it's within the last 5 years. And I need to know how to set the cam timing because there is no timing mark on the top gear like a 2.8 or any other engine that I have ever worked on. Can anyone help?

I was thinking all the 60 deg V6's used the same timing gears/chain setup. Therefore, it would seem they would all have the timing mark on the cam gear. You didn't flip it around did you? (don't mean to insult your intelligence). It should bolt on only one way, and I can't see of any other way to get it right without a mark of some sort.

Can anyone shine some light here?

Yes I have checked both sides of the gear. But it's not really like any 80s to mid or maybe even late 90s cam/gear/chain setup in the way that the cam gear only has one large bolt in the center (with the pin slightly off set like normal) unlike the three bolt set up. (It is also a factory roller cam if that helps.)
