    300zx headlights

I'm thinking of using 300zx headlights on my 355 kit. Anyone done this before? How hard are they to mount? How expensive are they?
    Thanks,
    Ari

    300 ZX headlights now?????

First the fiero door handles now 300ZX

    Just kidding ;D

No not a clue ARI... but Why would you want those anyway...????

Unless you want to convert it into a F355 CHALLENGE... you can buy CARBON FIBER "tape" and use it to cover the back taillight panel... to make it CHALLENGE and then fabricate the 300zx lights into it... because the CHALLENGE has the lights NON POP up... WERE TALKNG ABOUT RACE CARS HERE!

So I dont know.. up to you...

I would stick with the authenticity part of the factory car... not CHALLENGE...

    TAKE CARE GOODNIGHT!

    Re: 300zx headlights

one of the hardest things to do on my style of 355 replica (IFG/warlock) Is get the headlights mounted correctly - people have told me stories about them spending weeks attempting to get it correct, with still no luck.

    There are three issues:

    A) The headlights are not in the stock position - they are Moved foward a few inches, so a bracket needs to be welded in to hold them in their new position.

    B) Matching/calibrating the headlights are quite hard to do, because of the relocation.

    c) Getting the body lines around the headlight opening to match up on top of all of this is a realy biatch to do... Unlike other kits, all I have it a "cut out" that I have to fiberglass or bondo right on top of the headlight motor.

The combination of these three things can make your life a living hell. You can understand why I'd like to avoid doing this if possible

Later Diablos used 300zx lights as OEM!
My kit has them, I spent $350 on them. Here is a link to a picture of a set installed- there are a few other shots on that site too.

Ive repaired some 300s in my shop. The lights are high if you buy new. try to find nice used ones for about 1/2 the price. The lens is glass, so you dont have the problems of the plastic being bad. New there $350-$500 @ I seen a stock Fiero with them, fit ok but not perfect contours to match.
