    Installing Daytime running lights!

Well, I purchased Daytime running lights today from "WebElectric Products" - http://members.nccw.net/webe/products/drl/drlad.htm . Although I was ripped off on shipping ($12 USD!?!?) Lawrence was quite helpful and quick to respond to my emails/process shipment. I've only heard good things about his product as well. I'll keep you all updated on the install.

For all of you who don't know "Daytime running lights" is a little electrical circuit which causes your turn signals to always be illuminated during the day, so that cars can see you better. There were a few studies done about 10 years ago which said that your about %40 less likely to get into an accident if you drive with your headlights on all day. The only problem is its very easy to forget to turn your headlights off during the day because you can't see them! Daytime running lights gives you the saftey benefit without the hassle.

Ari, I think Crappy Tire sells a Daytime Running unit for $20>$30. You can chose what lights you would want running by connecting the output to the : headlights, park lites, etc. The sensor pickup is tied in with the Dist/coil. It's been a year now since I bought one, works fine.

    Ari:

Sorry to say I got mine from Canadian Tire too! It was $25 and installed very easily. I use fog lamps with lower output bulbs.
