    backup camera/monitor

Well I'm still searching for a camera/monitor combo that is reasonably priced for installation in my countach...i have been searching ebay for some time now and am still very unsure which route to go...any suggestions

the rearview mirror ones seem to be the most expensive I dont mind using a monitor instead.

    what are you guys using?

I put truck convex mirrors, small ones, onto my side mirrors and a regular rearview mirror on the winshield. I had no problems.
It is very difficult to back up though. I believe in the countach manual it recommends that you open the door, shift your hips out so you are sitting on the rocker and look over the top of the roof. This is the best way to back up one of those cars.

Do you have a Fry's electronics in your city?A monitor and camera should run about $200 on up,but it depends on how much you want to spend. Some cams have night vision (They usually have red leds surrounding the lense),but I would make sure that it has both because night vision tends to make every thing look green or just a color cam would be nice too, just make sure it's color, because they still make B&W cams.I've seen flat screen color mini monitors (6In) for about $100 to $150.

I have one mounted on my rear plate. That way I could fool around with different options and not cut into the body.* Getting a new plate was cheaper than repairing the body.

The camera or the monitor has to a reverse image to act like a mirror.* This is very important.* I mounted the LCD on my mirror mount.* I also have an auxillary mirror behind the lcd that also helps out.* Total cost was under $200US.

I'm not really sure but having it mounted on a license plate ring or frame, wouldn't that bounce around alittle, enough to wreck the camera after time or give you a crappy look going down the road. I would want it mounted ridged if possible.
