    Engine Problem Question

    Hi all,

I was driving my 1985 Pontiac Fiero V6 on the Freeway (Apprx. Speed 65mph) for about 20 minutes when it started acting up. It started firing from the back muffler (loud gun shot sounds) and the rpm started to drop. I press the gas pedal, but the rpm will not go up and the firing will continue. Please, for all those experts in mechanic, what is the problem?

    Thanks,
    Andrew
