    Gas dipstick

Is there a gas dipstick for the 2.8 V-6?* ???*

I've never heard of this and wouldn't think there would be but, I know someone who pulled the dipstick out of the engine thinking it would be oil but all there was is gas.* I thought this was odd, and just wanted some feedback??

    A WHAT??* NO!

Maybe he filled his engine with gas instead of oil ... ???* I'd steer clear if he ever offers to give you a ride.

I never heard of a "Gas" dip stick. I don't think there is one.

Sounds like a lot of internal engine problems to me. For gas to be in the crankcase it would have to mean that a cylinder is not firing at all AND the same cylinder has bad rings.. Not an impossibility but that thing would run like #$@^!!!!

    Re: Gas dipstick

If the engine is flooded and will not start the gas often leaks past the rings and into the crankcase. It happens a fair bit here in Canada in the winter. I have seen clowns use a torch to warm the oil in order to try to start the car after it was flooded, then both rocker covers exploded. Darwin was right.
