    Best spray glue?

I used the 3M spray can glue and it didn't work as ggod as I hoped, I did my door panels and the upper Grey vinyl I used was a little thicker than I should have used and its not holding up is good. Is there anything stronger I can get or does anybody have any ideas. I am thinking about just spreading liquid nail on it?

We just did the entire interior in Rie's car for WestFest and we used some stuff called Tac-It. It was great! Supposed to be about the strongest stuff you can get. Try a local upholstery fabric store. They should have it.

I'll be downloading all of my build-up and WestFest pictures tomorrow and I'll post some and show you what we did... Rie did the headliner and it looks beautiful!!! We changed her car from grey stock Fiero to custom tan and black.... It was a big hit at the show!

    Bobby,

You might also ask them about a different kind of vinyl. They have a vinyl that has a different back on it that is more flexible and better for headliners and contoured door panels and stuff. Since we did custom door panels we didn't have to worry about it, but the guy at the shop suggested it if we were doing the headliner in vinyl. At first we were going to, but we would have had to glue the vinyl to pad and then glue that to the headliner board. Since the painter and other upholsterer got us behind we just went with the regular padded headliner material.. We don't regret it at all.. It was easy to do and looks perfect!

Here you go, Bobby. Here are the pics of our buildup of Rie's car... You went sort of along the same lines we did on the door panels, including filling in the ridge along the top, but we wanted to change the line of the door panel from the stock Fiero over/under design. The dash was also supposed to be padded and covered but the upholstery guy kept our parts for 6 weeks and never did it! Kept me hanging till the night before we had to leave and I finally went and got the stuff around midnight and just painted it up to match the interior. Interior was originally grey...

The color is fairly standard on several new cars.. Scion made a special edition xB last year and called it Hot Lava. Mercedes has a color that is very close and they call it Paprika. Honda calls it Sunset Orange Effect.... Basically it is a very metallic orange and it shines in the sun like you wouldn't believe!

that's a great paint job bro. i also like the stripe on the door panel. i suck when it comes to choosing color schemes!
re the thread--when i was building tour buses we always used industrial grade contact cement. i think they have something similar in an aerosol can--spray both surfaces and voila......the shit is there permanently!!
