84 Fiero engine swap, what's best

I have just started my build of a Lamborghini Countach, non-streched. I am at the stage where I have everything all stripped off and I have just decided to swap out the engine. I would like to stay with a v6 if possible and I am unable to find a fiero v6 replacement within my area. My question is what else can I use for the swap where I donn't have to get into installing a convertor or do to much modification to the engine compartment or get into upgrading the brakes and stuff,

    Thanks
    Shane

In my opinion, if you have a complete Fiero drive train in the car and the engine is bad, I would do the following. Locate a Firebird, Buick or Camero with a 3.4 V6 in it. They made millions of those engines and you can get the details of the swap by doing a Google look up on 3.4 engine conversions - Fiero. It is in expensive and easy to do. The Fiero V6 valve covers and intake will fit on the car. You will go from 115 HP to 180HP in the process. If you want some High Output stuff, you can find it on Google as well. Headers, Cams, etc.

I installed a 3800 in my car and if I would of thought this through a little better, I would of done the 3.4 as mentioned.

    Regards,

    Dave

Ahh the starters on the wrong side on the RWD engines and needs to be re-drilled.. not FUN

Best bet is the 3800 Buick Supercharged V6..

Or a 4.9 Cadillac "North Star" aluminum block.. only 100 lbs more than the Fiero V6 and bolts up to the Isuzu 5-speed trans in the Fiero..

    A few words to learn..

Getrag, North Star, 3800, Isuzu 5-speed (in Fiero)
