    NEED BIG FUEL LINE!!!

Ok here is my dilema...I have two fuel tanks, one on each side of the car (Countach)...the fuel line that is connected to the tanks to transfer fuel is about 3/4 inch inside dimeter...the line is meant to transfer fuel from tank to tank WITHOUT any mechanical means...I have a feeling with a tube this small it will take forever to fill up the tanks at the gas station...my question is...does anyone make a 2" rubber line that can withstand fuel???...I asked 2 automotive retail outlets and they have never heard of the fuel line that large...anyone know where I can get one???

    Thanks

What about the big hoses used as filler necks behind the gas cap? Had you ever asked if radiator hose is petroleum resistant? Just a guess, I am not sure myself.
I would like to see your setup, because I was planning to do the same thing on my 355.

lambo 1 your in TO right??? fuel hose is available from IPM HOSE &Fittings on Westney Rd south east side a bit south of Bayly ...I think I might have a couple of feet left from the last job if you just need a small piece...do not use rad hose it will break down, leak or disolve into tank ..john

Dude, you can get line like that from any marine store, there are a few online www.westmarine.com they use it as fuel fill hose and it's some really thick burly stuff.

What everyone else said, just don't use radiator hose. It's not rated for fuel. How about some exaust pipe bent up for your needs, then connected to your tanks with fuel rated rubber? You could even flatten it out for clearance issues.

    Just a thought....

I got that size hose from West Marine also. Be aware that it will probably have a spiral wire running up it and this makes it VERY hard to turn too tight a radius. I think I bought 2 feet for a six inch space and ended up using all of it due to the turn. Good thinking on the transfer time.* ??? Maybe a dumb thought,,,, both tanks have a vent right? I may be stating the obvious,, but the other tank won't fill at all without having it's own vent.* * * 8)
