    3.4 Engine Swap

Hey Guys I am looking at doing a 3.4 engine swap into an 88 5 speed (I am going to keep it a 5 speed) and I already know I am going to order rodneys ac bracket and oil pressure adaptor, but here is my question to you. I was talking to Ed Parks and he informed me that for an 88 you need to make a eariler model engine bracket extened by 2" since the 88 craddle mounts the engine 2" forward. If someone could tell me what they did to their 88 when they did the swap that would be great. Also does anyone know of someone who has this bracket pre made and ready to go, as this would be the best option for me. I need your help on this one guys! Thanks

Are you doing a 3.4TDC or just a regular overhead valve 3.4?

Does Ed no longer supply those brackets? He did a bunch of 3.4s into 88s before he got so heavily into 4.9s.

Nope he says he does almost all 4.9s now and dosn't even need to have brackets made up except one at a time. Then I talk to West Coast they said no you don't need no bracket. So I guess once I am under there is when I gonna find out who is right.

Send an e-mail to my buddy Keith at ironhedno3@aol.com and ask him about it. He has had two 88 GTs with 3.4s in them. Plus, he used to work for Grooms engines and knows more about engines than almost anyone I know... He's in Nashville.

That guy Keith is a rip off artist. I wouldn't call him to fix a bicycle. He wanted to swap out some work with me, I have an autobody shop and I fixed his 88 Fiero which was a total loss to begin with and painted the car all over and then when it came time for him to do the engine swap for me a year later he wanted to critize the body repair and paint job, but when he picked up his car he made no mention of anything not pleasing him then and then he took it to the ed parks fiero swap meet and told me he felt like he had one of the best looking cars there. I'm letting you know I have delt with the guy and he is a con and a chicken sh*t on top of that.
