    back to the GAUGE hunt

Now with the pedals done and out of the way, I am still trying to find some better gauges but this is weird.

I found these VDO Euro 0-220MPH gauges but the only come in 80mm or 100mm. Newman posted that the fierointerior cluster holds 3 3/8 or 3.375" gauges which, after I do the math is 87.5 mm! Arent gauge sizes standard?

Could it actually be that one is too small and one is too big? Is there an adapter or something? Any room to route the holes bigger?

These would be the gauges of choice I think for us at 220 MPH. HOW CAN WE MAKE THESE WORK FOR US?

    Dude,
That is the best looking black speedo I have ever seen. I have a real 355 gauge cluster but I would rather use that in my pod from Rob's interior kit. How much are they and shipping to US? Any back orders or extremely long wait to receive them?

Stang, I called rob and he said that theres no way to get a 100mm speedo and tach into his bezel...

the 80mmm would be the only option and its a 300 KMH gauge. No MPH

There has got to be a way to fit two 100mm gauges and two 52mm gauges. If you move his speedo and tach openings outward about 1/8-1/4" each, you can fit a 100mm in there without overlapping the smaller gauges. See if he can make a custom panel to accept 100mm. If he can, I will gladly mail mine back to him inexchange for a bigger one.

Pete, Did you want to buy my oem gauge pod wrapped in black leather?

I have no need for the pod unless it is a direct fit to Robs kit.

I am working on a gauge solution....

I need the gauges themselves to get the artwork exact, them my plan is to sell them. I found someone whose only company business is duplicating gauges and getting the sending units correct.

Re: back to the GAUGE hunt

ive never seen em on ebay...

    i sure been looking.

have you given up on trying to use em?
If you want, I can use yours to get the artwork made (print ready) then send em back to you then give you a set of calibrated 220 MPH VDO's at my cost....

It's a pretty intense project but I have the person you will do it, theyve done tons of others and they claim to be the only ones in the country that can get us perfect copies for Fiero. I beleive them.
