Where do I get universal, cut to fit side glass seals?

What ever they chose to be called: whiskers, glass seals, door top weatherstrips..... I am looking for the rubber seals that run horizontally along the top edge of the exterion door panel and seal the door panel to the side glass. I need ones with metal built in so it will conform and hold its shape. I had ordered a length of seal from Metro but returnd it as it didn?t have the metal as stated in their catalog. Thanking in advance

One thought may be to measure the length you need for your top seal and go to wrecker and see what you can find on cars there that match up length or are longer. Two door older cars would be the best as they had boat sails for doors and then you could trim them down to size to match up. You can then order new ones after fitting with wrecker parts to get the fit.

I am not sure if GM still carries the original Fiero weather strips but that is another thought as your doors and windoes are the originals are they not. Shoudl be close to the same legth where it matters against the side window.

    Cheers

Don. Good idea on wrecker parts. The Fiero ones won't work as the exterior door panel sits much higher that the original Fiero one, and it is longer. I will look in JCWhitney. Thanks

Hi Dale...I just used the reg (new) Fiero rubber seal "Dew Wipes" and mounted them in there respective places.... The higher door sill does not look out of place, rather, it actually curves with the door glass with the seals just below.
here's a pic, but unfortunately an early one...

Humm....... ??? I could see that working Sandy, but it leave me with a big gap between the top edge of the exterior door panel and the glass. You had sent me a pic a long time ago and I was sure the seal was attached to the top of the door panel, and not in it's "Fiero" location. If I find it tonight I'll e-mail it up to you. thanks

This is what I am using. From http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/C...&searchbtn.y=5
it attaches directly to the fiberglass and is OEM quality... nice and clean

Dale, actually it is not a BIG gap, but rather 'suits' the style.... hard to explain. I can go over and take some new shots if you like..... just tell me from what angle you would prefer. In a way, the Fiero seals are hidden (in a nice way) from viewing except from above!
