    Ferrari wheel bolts

Having Lee from Held's build my wide track suspension for my 355 (isn't one stop shopping great!) He's drilling and tapping my hubs with a 5X108 bolt pattern so I can mount my OEM wheels. The question............. I've ordered but haven't recieved my wheel bolts yet. Are Ferrari wheel bolts (355) 14mm with a 1.5 pitch??? I'm about 99.9% sure they are. Just wondering if anybody knows for sure. None of the dealerships seem to know (amazing how little they do know). I've found one reference on the web on the subject... a wheel spacer company that says that they are. Does anybody know?? Thanks.

Ah, so you're the guy he's making them up for. I had a talk with Lee about trying to avoid using adapters with OEM wheels. It would seem a waste to use his front suspension with adapters. He said he was custom making a set of 5 x 108's for someone and would let me know how they turned out. I hope they work. Please keep us posted.

    Re: Ferrari wheel bolts

I would like to get a set for the front of my car. I have 12 inch brakes (Wilwood) and a slalom +5 suspension. What hubs is he using for you. I had to use a space on the rear with a shock offset piece to get the rim to clear the shock strut and spring.

Is Lee redrilling Slalom front hubs for this process?

    Re: Ferrari wheel bolts

    Dave,
Those are the same hubs I got for my rear setup. Below is an actual email Lee sent to me when I purchased them.

    Bob,

We are modifying the stock Fiero bearings. This makes
    it much easier on the
customer. They will bolt in to the stock rear spindle
    and they will bolt
into our drop spindles. They will also fit into your
    existing Slalom
spindles. We should complete a set this week. I am
    waiting to give prices
until we get a set complete, and know exactly what our
    costs are.

I have attached a picture of our 13" brake kit. We are
    now using different
rotors. They can be machined for a 5 X 108 bolt
    circle.

    Bob:

Sorry, we did discuss this when you were here last week. I think I will need to have my Corvette hubs re-drilled.

I guess you made it home ok. That sure is a beautiful cradle you have for your car.

    Dave,
I should have called you back, I got your voice mail but I was in extended area so I was going to wait until I got home to return your call. When I got home, Erie had gotten 12" of snow and my power was out until this morning. I got to John's at about 6PM and left there the next morning.

Anyways, Lee stated that the bearings will work on my existing slalom suspension too, but my slalom front uses the bigger pontiac 6000 hubs. Here I found out that he had redesigned the slalom kits resently to accept fiero hubs, but mine is about 6 years old like yours which had the older style spindle. That is fine with me because I need the 1" wheel spacers you gave me for the correct track width. I will forward you the emails I got from Lee that have pics of the hubs and his new 13" brake kit that has two-piece rotors.

    Re: Ferrari wheel bolts

I personally like the larger old style hub. I would like to see the 13 inch 2 piece brake rotors though. If I ever decide to upgrade my front 12 inch. I do think that I have enough meat on my Corvette hubs, that I can shift the bolt circle a little and drill new stud holes. I don't think it will take that much to get my front tire underthe fender where it belongs if I direct bolt the rim to the hub.
