V8 Swap recommendations and sealing the passenger compartment

I just bought a 25th Anniversary Countach replica off eBay and it is based on a 1985 GT with the V6 engine. I would really like to upgrade to a V8 and wanted some recommendations. I am debating between the Chevrolet 350 and the Caddy 4.9. Which is better based on costs and ease of installation?

Also the road noise in the passenger compartment is horrible, there are air leaks everywhere and when cars pass me on the interstate I can feel the air being pushed into then sucked out of the passenger compartment. Any suggestions?

For ease of installation and cost, I don't think you can beat the 4.9. Archie has THE kit if installing the SBC. Check out BubbaJoexxx's site for info on the 4.9 build. http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscrape...ch/67/id12.htm or look him up at Pennock's www.fiero.nl

I have done both the SBC and the 4.9 you can put a 4.9 in your car for less money than the adapter kit cost for the SBC.

To find some of the leaks you can turn on the blower thruogh the vents on hi.Then shut the doors and close it up as tight as you can. Then take soap and water in a spray bottle and spray around the doors and windows and watch for bubbles. If the car is half way close to tight this will work. If it isn't it will not work .
