    Another frame strengthening question (alot of pics)

    Well I wanna end this once and for all... Ill take alot of pics of the car and you guys tell me where it should be cuz im still having difficulty trying to think of where to place metal ;D
    now Before the roof was cut we put the side rails on BUT apparently thats not enough so hopfully I havent done too much shifting damage already
    anyhoo here are the pics, If you could save them use paint or whateve to draw the tubs I should add (and if you want me to take more pics of the car just ask) and when your done with paint just email them to me and ill host them then itll give me and others a better idea cuz im still confused...

    (I put the red bar that im going to add....now is this a good spot? or should I make it lower/higher?

    Hi all,

    Check out the following link, it was done at v8 archie's shop, a man with TONS of knowledge about fieros.... When I can get to doing a targa for my fiero this is how i'll brace mine.....you'll have to join to see pics though k......

    KillerX did you get the email i sent ,they are the best three designs avalible ,use them all an it should work out great for you 8)
    In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!

    my design, you'll have to change up the doorjam area a bit, diff angles but i would still keep use same idea.
    Remove your doorjam by drilling out the spot welds, and then weld it back in.

    Caution:* it's a lot of work, but very strong and can be hidden, doesn't sacrifice cabin or undercarridge space.

    Hey dcox; Did you still put the x frame under the car, or just use the bracing on both sides?

    x-frame is not needed; i've never seen one really do any good.

    Hi all,

    If you check the pennocks link above there is also some interior bracing that archie did....I'd trust a man whos been doing solid mounted (prefered) v8 swaps since the begining.....The link features a finale spyder conversion in progress....To be honest though, dcox's bracing is basically how archie has his done...Though he did add some interior plates.........
