3800 SC Motor Mount Question: Which set to use?

    Hi Everyone,

    I am upgrading my F355 Spyder from a 1986 2.8L Fiero engine/cradle to a 1999 3800 SC with an automatic 4T65E HD transmission.

I am new to the forum, but have been reading extensively for the last month or two. I am looking for the best set of motor mounts to use for this conversion. I have seen various sets offered.
One set from WCF and Fast Fieros of Dallas. I am sure there are others too I have not seen.

Looking for suggestions and feedback of which other members here have had the best results with.

    Thanks for your time.

    Rob,

There is a lot of good information about the 3800SC conversion if you sign onto this yahoo group:

    Strickly 3800SC Fiero conversions.

You can't really go wrong with either WCF or Fast Fieros, although I did not know Fast Fieros offered a mount kit, I thought they strictly installed them. I've read enuf about Fast Fieros to know they are top notch. I have WCF mounts and brackets on mine ('84 Fiero/98 GTP wt 4T65eHD). No problems with them. There are a couple of people at Pennock's www.fiero.nl that make and sell mounts and brackets.

    Good luck....

    Thanks everyone for the feedback.

    And for Bob's last post.........

Bob, You are absolutely correct about Fast Fiero of Dallas. They don't make their own, but I was thinking about an individual that say he makes them for exclusively for Fast Fiero....http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/040806.html

    Sorry, my mistake!

I'm familiar with Purple Reign's car and I've seen post's on his products. Car and products are top notch. When I finally get to it, I'll probably have Fast Fiero re-flash my PCM. If you're handy with fabrication, Darth Fiero's posts are informative. He can guide you through building your mounts using stock components.
