    headers

    ok ive started hearing an exhaust leak ..so checked everywhere ,my cousin suggested tighting up the header bolts I did one side the easy side, the noise cut in half ..how do I get to the other side? (fiero v6) my hands don't fit any tips??

    If you have A/C you will need to remove the mounting bracket to access a couple bolts on the front side. You can get to them from the bottom without too much trouble. My past findings found the heat warpped the front side manifold. I clamped the manifold to a 3/4X4" piece of heavy flatbar, heated it and straighten it. Worked great.
    Trying to patch this with gaskets or muffler cement is a waste of time.

    Some Fiero's are still out there that have not had the recall on the headers repaired. The have a tendency to crack on the side toward the cockpit. If you have a leak you might just need to torque down a bolt or two or even remove them and re-weld the manifold in the worst case.
