    I'm just curious...

Hi, guys, I've been a longtime forum lurker, and I was just wondering if the OEM soft tops for the Ferrari 348 Spyder and/or F355 Spyder has a glass window in back or a plastic one. Thanks in advance!

    theres 2 reasons for it

    1. the unusual shape of the roof wouldnt fold right with a sturdy glass window (could rip it possibly)

    2. glass convertible tops need alot of space since they barely fold, and the 355 has the engine in the back and barely any space for the roof

Hm... darn, perhaps a targa top version should do the trick. I don't want a plastic rear window...
Thanks for the answers, anyway, guys.* 8)
I'd also like to know how durable those plastic windows are, so if anyone knows, please comment.

    HI all,

Targa is the way to go....Most people will tell you that a 355 is better looking in the gt and gts models..Hardtop and targa...Also this is a unique as most kits are the spyders.......

I wish I would of done a Targa Top on my car.* But I am a bit committed to doing a fold down soft top like the 348 and 355.* The 348 is a manual version rather than power like the 355.* I think I can steal a few ideas from the 348 to apply to FunnyWheels. But for now, I plan to just use the boot on the back until I can build the top properly.

Is that your car? If so, who did it?

No, this is my car but the 348 is the only one I had handy to show what a convertible top boot was for a Ferrari.* And now that I look at the photo, it is only a top down shot, not one with a boot on it at all.

    A 355 is similar to the 348.
