where is the transmission fluid reservoir??

I feel really stupid asking this, but where is the port for adding transmission fluid on a V-6 1988 Fiero/Mera? I can't find it and can't find a diagram anywhere? Am I supposed to pour it in to the dipstick pipe slowly?

Since you mentioned dip stick I'm assuming you have an automatic. Stick a funnel in the dip stick tube and poor away. Keep checking until you are at the right level. The car should be started and fluid hot for the final level.

If for some reason it is standard, undo the speedometer sensor and poor the fluid in there to the fill mark on the sensor.

Thanks, that's what I thought--it seemed like the thing to do--but it just bothered me that I couldn't find the cap or opening like in most of my cars.

Thanks for the reassurance that I'm not too stupid.
