    TESTAROSSA KIT OWNERS: NEED ADVISE

    Hello,

I have a Testarossa kit and was wondering about a couple of things.

Rear tail lights, I currently have the Sentra lights but wondering if I have other options. I have seen some 512 kit without the grill but actually have a whole panel that covered the back, does anyone know anything about it,.

I'am also looking to find out where to obtain a replica Testarossa side mirror....

also need to know what you guys have done on the engine cover as far as the vent is concerned. i currently dont have anything there,..

    thanks,

    rio

I gave up on looking for replica mirrors and paid a Ferrari parts salvage yard the asking price. My personal opinion is the rear grill is needed, the solid panels just don't look good. Can't help you on the rear deck, but I'll post some pictures of what was done on my car tomorrow. Take care Bill

A friend of mine has a real Testarossa and just replaced his engine cover with a clear engine cover. Just an idea, but I know they make them. Of course, then you will want to get a V12 replica engine too!

    thanks for the replies.

    Bill,
Please do post the pics of your car. I know what you are saying about the panel not looking right, just looking for other options.

    Bianco,
Actually thought about going that route, just have not figured out how and who will fabricate. you have any pics of your friends car?

Mike D had developed a Hamann style tail light panel for his 512 a while back. The pictures don't look to be on the forum anymore, but it looked sharp. It used the round Corvette lamps, but I felt the oval or squared lights would look good, too.

I believe Cool Custom Cars still makes a Testarossa:

I've never done business with them, but you may be able to source your parts there. Good Luck.

I have done business with Ron, he delivers but is slow. He uses a motorcycle mirror and I didn't like the look of them or the stability. They are also not motorized. Regards Bill

OK - Finally found a pic of his car alongside a Testarossa with a stock engine lid. I'll keep looking for a top view...

OK - in case the above pic doesn't make the censor's criteria, here is another before my buddy OZ did the wheels and clear engine lid.
