    355 spider top

I saw a new 355 spider top on the internet. Could a person get one and install the top, then make a take off frame that would give it the shape it needs?

A 355 Spider canvas top will not fit a Fiero. The Ferrari Header is 4 inches too narrow at the windshield and at the "B" Post. The Ferrari also uses a longer window than a Fiero so that simply will not work. I have tried, I wish it would.

Thanks Dave, How about a Ferrari boot cover? Does that not work either?

The boot will be too narrow between the "V"'s on the rear quarter. The boot will not work. You can have one professionally made for about $150

The Miata top is 8 inches too narrow at the top, over the doors and at the base where it meets the trunk. Been there done that with a Miata and Capri. Internet myths regarding tops. If it were available I would have installed it over the past 8 years of owning my car.

    Has it been that long...

I would not even try a fold up top on a 355. Even the OEM one barely works. If it were me, I would bend up some aluminum polls with mounts from the window to the firewall. Then make a vinyl canvas cover that snaps to the polls. Sure it would look bad and nothing like OEM when up, but who cares what the car looks like in the rain. Plus if built correctly, the whole top could fit in a small tent bag and live in the trunk.

    I don't have a trunk.

    That is another challenge.
