    Adding 3 inches to the frame for the355 convertion

    i was wondering where i could find out about where to cut the frame and how picture links would be great please help

    You don't cut the frame to make the wheel base longer on a 355 replica. You make the cradle longer. Look at the FunnyWheels thread in Technical Discussions. It is all in there.

    Dave,

    This is off subject, but would have photos you could send me of the necessary frame reinforcements for doing a convertable chop? Will be doing some frame reinforcemnts for my build.
    BTW - you should really write a book on this stuff, seriously.

    The Spider version has a brace between the rear frame rail and the added frame under the rocker panel. If you don't do this the car will flex like a floppy jalopy until it finally fatigues the Fiero metal creating stress cracks eventually breaking in half. In addition it is nearly impossible to align body panels with the frame in a flexing state.

    Here is what I used on the bottom end of the chassis in addition to the extended cradle.
