    Lots of options...:

    350 small block chevy
    3.8L Supercharged
    3.4L

Check out Pennock's Fiero forums. If it can be done, its been done there at one time, including monster big block engines, diesels, electric... you name it.

I would add to the list a Normally Aspirated 3800 or like I am doing, with a turbo attached to it.
a 3.4 replacement engine is another low cost option as well as the 3.4 DOHC engine. all of the 3.4 engines will bolt into the Fiero and attach to the transaxle with very little effort. Don't forget about the 4.9 and NorthStar engines as well.

Like BullRider said the list is almost endless.

    Re: Engine.

Dave, I might have the turbo you want. It was built by Cherry Turbos for PBJs N*. I bought Petes setup and have since decided that I want a larger roller bearing unit. The guys on RFT thought that this turbo was undersized for the N*. He only ran it twice I think. The second time he boosted it to 5 lbs and turned a 12.6 1/4 with virtually no tuning. He was overheating and blew a headgasket then threw his arms up and has been blasting N*s ever since.
