Headlights on custom 512TR rep(wanting to do this w/ AD355 kit possibly)

I was playing around with pictures of Jim's AD355 and the 512 I found on ebay this week. I was very impressed with the lights in this replica as it looks really nice in my opinion over the pop up lights. What do you guys think?

    Here is Jim's car.

    Here is the 512TR

Here is a picture with the hood popped on the 512

Here is my photoshop (I know looks kinda lame but I was in a hurry)

    I'm all for it, myself.

Felix did the exact same thing with his Countach replica, and I must say that I think I prefer his over the stock Countach look with the popups. Felix did four 5" diameter bulbs (from a Volvo, Felix?).

Doing a little research I've found out that those are indeed 300zx lights, not the cover thats a custom lexan or plexiglass cover, but the buckets are modified 90 to 96 300'z. I did another lame Photoshop and really liked how it looks, what do you guys think?

I know the lines to line up for crap, and I have a 1000 dollar CS3 photoshop but I just was in a hurry. If you squint your eyes it looks good, kinda like F40 to me personally

can you add this hood ,lights an front bumper onto the yellow car so we can see how a 355M would look

In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!

I mentioned before to you I was planning on doing some different mods to my car than an exact replics. this photoshop does the trick. I was wanting to get away from the pop up lights and go with something like you did...thanks for that btw! now I just need you to put louvers where the side glass behinds the doors would be and possibly (depending on how it looks) a scoop on the roof....I want to build mine a little different with more of a race look to it

I've tried to contact the Florida replica guy. He shows about the same thing on a 355 but with drop down doors. He hasn't answered me yet after several tries.

I've pretty much confirmed that the headlights in his 512 replica are 300zx headlights. I'm going to start sourcing a set now!

umm... if the car is just that much more correct in proportion and look such as the ad kit, why would you completely throw it off with nissan lights?

that doesnt make much sense... unless the whole car looks like a challenge/racing type car with other professional looking add on's.

Yeah you are probably right. I know for my car like I posted above, I plan on making changes to a few things to get the car how I would like it to be. I am going for an overall race look, and imo, lights like the 300 will fit into that look nicely.
