Temperature Sender Location on a SBC 350?

This is such a friggin noob question... can someone explain where the temperature sender is located on a standard no-frills SBC 350? (ie which side?)

Is it between the first and second sparkplugs on the passenger side???

Thanks for your help! I want to hook up my Autometer gauge so that I watch my car slowly overheat...

That sounds right to me. Mine is on the right side of the engine (when looking from the tranny side), on the lower side between the cylinders (can't remember if its 1 and 2, or 2 and 3). Sounds like you found the right place, though.

It's been a while since I messed with mine, but I think mine had 2 - one between the cylinders and another on the intake manifold near the gooseneck for the radiator hose. I can't remember offhand though.

Between the spark plug holes on the head (either one) will do just fine on any SBC.

Newer SBC's with TBI, TPI and some computer controlled carbs etc have a second temp sensor on the thermostat housing that provides data to the ECM for the fuel injection / warm-up etc. You don't want to use this one for a gauge.
