    Can't find reverse

    Hello all

I started up my car for the first time last night, and although everything seems to be working properly, I'm having trouble with reverse on my 4 spd. I'm assuming reverse is a hard left and up. In that position I get another forward gear. Is it possible the linkage isn't set up properly. Any comments most welcome.

Found it. Needed to adjust the select cable by about 2mm. However, it is hard left and up. (4 speed)

    Re: Can't find reverse

    Hi Jim

Amazingly it's running. Thanks again for the initial engine help. I took it for a quick drive down the street and back, (reverse helped to get it turned around). Never had a chance to take it out of first. I had it running for about 45 minutes, reving it occasionaly. It sat nicely at between 190 to 195 deg. Doesn't seem like I'm going to have an overheating problem at this time even with the rad in the back. I have the fan kicking in at about 190 deg. and it pulls air through the rad and over the exhaust. The entire exhaust system headers, muffler etc. is ceramic coated. I have the dash installed with the gauges connected as well as the console courtesy of Rob (Amida) and the seats (Mr. Mike) in as well. It looks pretty nice. Next week end I am going to have the car towed to an empty parking lot I have access to and test it out for about a half hour or so to make sure it holds together. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    Regards
    Paul

P.S. Come by and see me sometime.
