How to remove A Arm and Shock bolts??

I am in the process of adding my wide track set up. However the original bolts have been on this car for so long they have become very hard to remove with out stripping them. Does any one have a method to remove these *%@!! bolts. Thanks

plenty of release oil.. just keep working the nut / bolts 3/4 turn forward / 1/2 turn back making sure you dont shear it.. keep the release oil on it to keep it cool as well, hitting the housing with a hammer will shock the bolt which will help. Just take it slowly and it should come out

    only use 6 point sockets.

and lots of WD40 soak over night !!!!!! 2 days if you can wait , thats what i had to do. but i still snap the bolt.

also a good impact 250LBS works good all so.

I used liquid wrench over night and a breaker bar. Before purchasing a breaker bar I almost knocked myself out. I was pulling as hard as I could with a 1/2" wrench, when the bolt broke loose, I smashed the bridge of my nose on the fender. I say stars. The good news is that the fender did not break or move.

You could try heating the metal around the bolt with a torch enough to get it hot (not cherry), then put dry ice on the bolt. the combination of expansion and contraction should help. ???

Will a 500lb impact work or will it strip the bolts?

If it's really that stuck, you'll just snap the head off the bolt with too much force applied, then you have to use an "easy out" for several hours to try to remove a high tinsel steel bolt. Yeah, you thought it was stuck before, well....

try the torch first, heat will expand the hole and the ice will shrink the bolt.
torches are really cheap. A single bottle of Map gas burns really hot, and Walmart sells Dry ice cheap. Use the rest of the ice to cool your beer and celebrate your victory. ;D
