    FINALLY DID IT! Countach Konig 5000QV build!!

    I finally did it!

    I picked up a 86 Fiero with NO ENGINE/INTERIOR and with a Countach Konig 5000QV shell mounted on it!

    She needs a lot of work and a lot of fabricating. I hope to complete it very cheaply as I have a wide amount of resources and machinery.

    I'd rather not say what I paid for it because it was really really really cheap. If anyone has ANY info on how to mount up the doors/windows or what not, that would be awsome!

    I plan on attacking the driver side door this week and make the window functional and re-inforcing it with some steel.

    I am very happy to finally be part of the kit car community officially with a car!

    Thanks!

    I'm here!

    Great find, if you are happy with it. I would have held out for one with the correct wheel base though, no matter how cheap it was, but that is just me.

    Congratulations giveitup2me;

    Welcome to our madness...... I am sure you will enjoy the emoional ride you are about to undertake.

    Good luck on the build. I think you will also find an incredible amount of info over on lambolounge.com if it is still around.

    Lambonut,

    Do you know what kind of weatherstripping/window surround is used on these vehicles?

    Lambo nut;

    Do you know of any other Countach kits like yours for sale? A buddy of mine might be looking for the right price.

    Sorry to hijack the thread giveitup2me. I'll now post this question in the Mall....

    Thanks

    LOL! No sweat on the hijack.

    I will be working the doors this weekend... Hopefully the fiero window tracks(manual) come in on Monday.

    I got the steel for the inner doors as well as some angle iron for the locks and what-not.

    Don,

    I bought mine from Alan, at Euroworks.
    I only found one locally for sale, and it was a non stretch, Exotics Illusions model. I passed.
