Thanks everyone for the comments, The vendetta looks very much worth looking into a very nice looking design.
Either car I end up with, I would love start by purchasing a rolling chassis with the motor would be a big plus as I'm in Australia, and car parts like that I think are cheaper in the US than here. For instance so far the cheapest LS1 with wirering harness I have found is at a wreckers that I would have to remove myself, and that would cost me US$3,600 and its not uncommon to find standard motors going for just under US$5,000.
From what I here you can buy a whole car for that in the US. So getting a fair bit of parts and work done over there is not going to cost me.

Hey Tom, how's it all coming along man?  I get really happy when I see your car progressing.  Also, it's very refreshing to see a builder being recommended by a client.  That's a very positive reference for future gagliardi customers.

Hey Raj,
Coming along well, thanks for asking!  We'll stay on topic here but was long overdue for an update on our thread so we put one together.  Check it out - http://www.madmechanics.com/build-diaries/gagliardi-vendetta-tom-sawyer/

Sorry to hear you haven't gotten lots of updates, however, the pictures I've seen so far do look quite good.  The end result should be fantastic and we look forward to seeing a huge smile on your face when the car is delivered Smiley

sickpuppy,
Take the advice of members with regard to parts and chassis because being in Australia you really have to be able to trust the seller.  There are enough good guys in this industry that you can make it happen, but there's also a minefield of scammers and substandard vendors to avoid.

Check out Extreme Replicas. They seem to be trust worth and their body is the most accurate considering its based on the original.

You can buy one of their bodys and buy an Chassis works frame, buy an LT1 or LS1 motor and go from there.

I think Vetter does very good work. The guy is looking for a builder not a body.
