I still can't believe what I got up to last weekend...

Take one long weekend + 60 odd cups of tea, multiple steak dinners, 2 workers from DNA, 1 trainee (me), 1 expectant owner, 1 heated garage (well it was -4°C out and snowing) and more beers than I could count on Saturday night (split between one of the workers and the trainee) all added up to:

1 HUGE hangover, 1 case of ‘Deli Belly’ (not nice to share a garage with), 1 informed and enthused trainee and one VERY happy owner.

Thanks to the DNA guys for putting up with me (the trainee) I’m amazed what you did in a long (3.5 day) weekend!!! Other than the headlights (needed a cutter we didn’t have) Not only did you managed to show me how to put mine together (I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed either), drink all the tea that Brian kept making for us (thanks Brian), eat all of that steak AND help me drink in excess of 20 pints!!! You managed to get an entire car ready for paint!!!

I just can’t believe how easy it is, especially once you had shown me the little build tricks! As for the uses of modelling clay as an assembly aid…

I just couldn’t believe the speed you put the car together in and how little filler or skill you really need once your shown how!!!

The stuff you told me about the new 430 and the changes your making will make it even easier!!!

Thanks for being so patient with me and pretending I didn’t get in the way… oh and not shouting when I knocked stuff over… Some of those Deli Belly farts were deadly guys. I feel sorry for whoever you sat next to on the plane.  Cheesy

I couldn't believe the owner was 78!!! I hope I'm as together and as fit as him when I'm that old. He disgraced all of us with his abiltiy to shovel the snow off the drive!

So, Munky, can I hire you to help with mine now?  I probably can't provide the snow (we did have some last night but it melted as it got up to 50 or so today), but the steaks and beer shouldn't be too hard to come by.

I'm seriously jealous that you got to work on this.

That is a good looking car. It is very nice to see members pitching in to help out each other. I think that is really what this hobby is about, building cars while producing lasting friendships.

Nice touch,

HI all,

Now that right there is customer service!  Glad to see that!!  Great lookin kit, so much so that I have a couple o' questions on it......  Sorry to high-jack yur thread, but DNA's pm box is full.......   On the kit above, is the F360 rear bumper OEM sized?  Where would DNA be located?

edit to add:  Your 4firty rear bumper, is that also OEM sized?

This is just a random question:  Would it be possible to completely turn a dna kit into a coupe, by replacing the mr2 windshielf with a real 360 windshield, and them mabye "shaving" down the mr2 windows to fit the new windshield, and then making a top for it?  Seems like a theory but would it be possible?  Just a question.

Also, thats an incredible job on the build. Fast!  Congrats guys!

"Would it be possible to completely turn a dna kit into a coupe"

why would you do that? There's coupes out there..just use them. On the Peugeot and if you want it on a MR2 there's the new 430

I'm in Houston.  Not sweet, I guess, but warm most of the time.

Don't have the DNA kit yet.  Just got my donor car and I've been playing with it for a while, probably order the kit right after Christmas.  Cries for help will probably soon follow.  Smiley
