Spyder, it is nice that this car will done in a couple months instead of a couple years!

Today I went by the body shop and took off the door handles and the mirror. They are still taking off paint and should be getting started on the body work soon.

Yep that's the horn. Funny that it looks just like the one they sold from in the 70's. Have you located a roadrunner grill? That must be a hard item to find. Although I have seen some NOS roadrunner hood Insignia's on ebay a while back. If I remember correctly, There were also roadrunner decals on the front fenders, the trunk lid and a button on the steering wheel center.

I have not found a grill but I don't mind the one I have its not that different from what I can tell. I ordered all the exterior decals and I have a horn button decal. I am looking for a hood emblem.

Thanks, the car only had its orignal paint then the black spray paint primer, with some bondo in between. The body shop was not sure what was under the primer so they didnt want to take any chances, also there was some lacquer checking they need to sand out. I have no idea how many miles due to the fact the gauges were changed to Road Runner rally gauges before I bought the car.

The car is done with the body work and will be in primer tomorrow. And I am told it will be painted next week, but I will assume that its still about 2-3 weeks away from being finished. The car looks as if it has a lot of bondo on it, but almost all of it is less the a 1/16 of an inch thick and is only on there to smooth out the car perfect. Price tag so far $5500 for paint and body.
