 My grandmother passed away yesterday at 10 am. her name was Marjorie. she was the most honest and upstanding person in the world. she loved the lord and walked the straight and narrow.
 i was abandoned at the age of 2 months. she and my grandfather scoured the west coast until they found where i had been left. it took them a month to find me and i was with them from that day on. they were more like my parents than grandparents.
 she died in her sleep at peace at the age of 93. she is the oldest living member of my extended family(i mean was the oldest). she is survived by her only child(my mother),5 grand children,4 great grand children and 3 great great grand children.

When my mother died at 89 she had been wanting to go for several years so that she could be reunited with loved ones.  I didn't grieve.  She had a long and good life.  Hope you can look at it like that.  Maybe she was ready and wanted to go.

she has gone to a better place to watch over us all.

I am sorry for your loss and pray that the Lord comforts you in this time.  We are all going to leave this world one day.  It should bring some comfort and reassurance that she is with the Lord today.   Remember her and what she tried to instill in you in her life.   Most of us have lost loved ones.  I have lost a number and some I knew, had Christ in thier hearts and I know where they are.   The truely sad passings were the ones that either were lost or totally renounced Christ altogether.  You are blessed that you know she loved the Lord and lived in a manner that was pleasing to Him.  We all fall short, every one.  But the love for the Lord is the driving force behind trying to live according to His wishes.

The second she left this place of trial and tribulation, she was with Jesus and in a wonderful state of eternal joy and peace.
Do not cry for her brother. If you cry, cry for yourself and the loved ones that will miss this wonderful lady's companionship, until the day they too are called home.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

WOW... I have got to say what an outpouring of true love and encouragement from your fellowman when you see so many people rallying to pray for you Darin and to encourage you during this time of pain and grief.

I also want to pass along my condolences and encourage you to keep strong in your Faith knowing that you are not enduring this alone and that Christ is right there beside you every step of the way to hold you up and at times to carry you through this difficult time.

God Bless you and your family Darin.  My wife and I will keep you in our prayers, and yes, I agree with most that your Grandma is now in heaven with our Lord.  I would like you to remember that she is still with you and your family and is very happy and healthy and having no problems!!!!  She would not want you to hurt, but remember the great life you had together while she was here.  Hang in there my friend.  JB

also thanks for the kind words from everybody. once again i have to say,this outpouring of support has helped me more than words can explain. today was rough for me as i had to make my final payment to the mortuary,bring the clothes she will be wearing and bring pics to show how i wanted her to appear. it seemed to put a stamp of finality to her passing.

what to do...its 80 degrees here today so im going to ride my r1 to work today. that always brightens my day. amazing what two wheels and a 5 min ride does for the soul some times.
