The last two posts... I can't even respond... That's been beaten to death so much that it is not even worth retyping...  Especially since End of Story has been called... That must mean that it is true...

[sarcasm]How can anyone consider using a death in the family as a reason for anything! What a crock![/sarcasm]

Now I think I'll go into DJs many threads and talk about the poor quality of products made in Taiwan.. haha.. That would be about the same as you guys bringing this crap into this thread.. Not surprising though... Some folks will do anything for a stab at that bastard DKOV!

DJ, cant you see youre in taiwan and you got taken...

You'll get nothing....no parts or paperwork.  Bottom line here.

It's not about you having to prove anything to these guys.  When you ask for your parts and youre reply is "I had a death in the family" thats about it fella....

I dont know you but hey...there you have it.

I understant now I'll take some legal advice see what I can do. Thanks!

I find these DKOV threads are like driving past a car crash,   you don't really want to look but can't help yourself.
i started to get involved in this forum because my expertise is autoglass and i thought i might be able to help in that area and i am hoping in the not so far future i can buy and build one of John's cars,  so i will continue to suck the marrow out of this forum and hopefully be able to put some marrow back in wherever possible but, hey, isn't that what it's for?
i find that the willingness to help by almost all involved on here is refreshing and it's a shame that this ,  and other's like it have taken precedence over the real issues it was intended for.
i think whatever damage was intended for DKOV has been done,  whether it is justified or not, so i hope this is the end.

Is "ending" without resolution really ending?  thats the only question left Trevor.

The only end if for the poor fella to get his proof of mailing.

Anything short of that deserves any and everything.

This guy is a member here and shouldnt be burned because he is overseas and an easy victim.   Then just to have a few clones, who have never even met Scott in person, to vouch for a guy who cant even provide proof after 6 months.

It's insulting to all of us and we should demand better.  It could have easily been you that got scortched.   I was this close to buying an interior from Scott until I was told not too.  It very easily could have been me.  And now it looks like its another friend of ours....Sactodreamer...has gotten the short end of his stick.

For you or anyone to turn the other cheek is BS.

I talked to Sacto today and he is a magnificent guy who's main issue was not to bash DKOV publically and I'm sure he'll deal with his situation in his own way.

Thats why I said what I did and got involved.  Everyone else can sit idly by and cross their fingers and hope that it just goes away.

It's just not my style.   I'm not here to be loved, just want to do my little part to make this a better place for all of us.  Hope you can see that.

My take on the whole this is that the folks that are "angry" at me all seem to have their own agenda.  The guys I respect and care about their opinions all seem to agree with me so go figure....Like or hate what I say but rest assured I havnt stolen, gossiped or lied....

If a pessimistic guy like me would publically hang his hat on John, his supporters on here, Sacto, DJ vs a guy that ripped of someone I know someone I dont know and someone we all know and respect as the most honorable man in this business vs a silver tongued guy that cant produce a bill of lading....then you can call me biased.

I'm with Trevor on this one. I joined because at first I obtained info on building a 355 but lately cant help looking at these topics. This forum is how I met John personally too, but I dont go throwing it around like it is a big bargaining chip. We all know John and it doesnt make anyone of us better by name dropping. I cant help but to check out these topics, but I have better things to do with my time, like build a car. I'm driving 15 hours from PA to go see John personally to pick up parts. Does that make me any cooler than the next guy, or do I think I'm tough because John is my Friend? NO!!

This forum is for helping others out on their builds like many of us did for guys like MODENA. Heck, just a couple of weeks ago he was asking who John was and now they are such close friends. He is building me a car right now too!! I sometimes wonder if people post things just to get high post #'s and prove they know each other. I've met many of you personally at Johns cookout and I have your contact info. So until I need help or advice on my build I am logging off. It is a shame, but I graduated from High school six years ago and dont need this immature popularity contest crap.

Bob

Thanks for all the help from Dave(funnywheels), Duane(Dcox), Trevor(trevman), RT(AutoMX), and many others I have not mentioned. Thanks again.

I mean i agree why is there even fights on a forum for kit cars its  just drama. i mean cmon. Oh well and modena actually maybe becuz we dont all know everything about fieros ferrari and peoples backround info like you say you do doesnt mean we are wasting space on this forum. What exactly did you end? All I saw you do was a lot of talking and threatening. I invited you to bring it if you really think you want to end something... Someone seems to have a very high opinion of himself... And it doesn't look like too many other people share that opinion. And I can guarantee that all the BS talk about everyone is not going to help that situation.

Songman this is last time I'm reply to u:
to your uncertainty on me having already recieved them I can only say that Taiwan has a 19% tax on car parts and I would need to sign and pay the tax to Taiwan Post Service who are contractors for USPS here and they will clear the parts through customs so therefore there would definitely be some kind of record of package received!
and here is the copy of tax reciept from the  package recieved of the same item I purchased from John so you can see for yourself what kind of record there would be to be tracked.

so Here is the invoice that John sent me for the same parts I ordered and also a copy of FedEx receipt for tax paid when the parts past through customs when they arrived here in Taiwan.  Circle 1 is the invoice number which is the same invoice number from Johns invoice and circle 2 is the amount of Tax I had to pay to have it released from Customs.

let's please help each others here and get things right. thanks!

I'm glad you got your parts from John. I'm glad he sent it FedEx and they kept good records. That is not how Scott sent stuff to you though, per your request. I'm glad this was your last response to me because frankly, I have no interest in arguing with you. I merely point out that not everyone feels about Scott like you do.. in thread after thread... Scott sent the parts to you by regular USPS. Are the Taiwan officials going to open that box to see if there is something in there you should pay tax on? Probably not. If they do.. then I guess we know where your parts are. Hopefully they be done soon so you can pay the tax and get your parts...

Scott also has forms.. but his are actually pertinent to this case and not something involving another shipper. You keep on insinuating that Scott has lied about shipping your parts, and you have enlisted a few very vocal proponents to share in your internet lynch mob... Funny that the USPS would start a search for a package that was never sent. Yet he has paperwork to show exactly that.

I was going to post something along those lines but he already KNOWS this... the emails we've had over the past two days states this.  However, he fails to mention that.  He fails to mention that we worked out the shipping of the remaining parts and he fails to mention that I've agreed to send him all the paperwork I've received already.  He fails to mention that I've started the claim process to get his payment refunded to him through USPS for loosing the parts in the first place.

He fails to menton all this because his genuine interest is NOT get the parts located and delivered.

It just goes to show that regardless of getting the other parts or even finding the first package... none of this is going to stop.

He has or is getting what he needs and still feels the need to ramble on.

I'm so through trying to appease and work with this.  The claim for is in process and he'll get his vents AND his money back for them.  Double Dipped and still bashing me.  So be it.

I know that this may "appear" like I'm walking away and not living up to my responsibility here... but NONE of you could have done any more or any better.  There is nothing more I can do.  I'm not trying this in the court of public opinion.  It should be about finding the parts but it's not.  I see that.  So it doesn't matter anyway.

Sorry Scott about that last post to Songman.  In my silly attempt to argue with Songman and prove a point I unintentionaly broke the trust we have been building up these last couple of weeks.
Please accept my apologies.
