  • My unnamed Project.

Untill today I was waiting for my fiberfab shell to make it's way north over 2000km's so I could start the build, but now I'm sick of waiting for truckers who won't follow through.

I have decided to build my own, totally from scratch (sort of) with my own design.

first things first, gotta get me some of these...

these are all from a Nissan 350z, it has the perfect roof line for what I'm looking at building and means I can use 350z glass, seat rails, and seats.

I will be sourcing these next week as well as stocking up on carbon twill and black fiberglass.

you said you're getting carbon twill and black fibreglass.. where are you getting the black fibreglass from? i've seen something made from it a long time ago but never heard or seen anything since, and i've spent hours searching the internet trying to find a supplier! any help would be great.

sorry to hijack your thread but if anyone else can help that would be great too

                  Re: My unnamed Project.

                  oh...this is nice!
there's some similar thing in my country...dont know if they are the same material.

we call it carbon-look-fibre which is actually made of wooven (wrong spelling?) fibre blacken with black pigment...the one i saw is smaller than 2x2 twill weave....
but its material doesnt shine like the real carbon...
                  look flat coloured when finish..
even its surface is being polish to diamond shine.....

but this one with 3K is very very intresting! HAHA!! we might have full carbon body panel soon!
err...btw, can any one tell me how to measure by YARD?

how many square feet or square meter per yard?
                  i only know 12 inch = 1 feet
                  and 3 feet (approx) = 1 meter..
                  hehe... :-[ :-[ :-[

                    Re: My unnamed Project.

                    1 yard = 3 feet (36 inches in length)
                    1 square yard = 3 feet X 3 feet. (9 square feet)
                    Without talent experience is worthless

                      Re: My unnamed Project.

They measure by the yard, not square yard. The rolls are 50" wide by a multiple of 36" in length.

                        Re: My unnamed Project.

Don't mean to confuse everyone, but theres nothing to show yet, and the build is not a replica.

the design exists only in my brain at this point.
